| 667 2978 2979 A Luftwaffe scope mod. ZF 42 A rare scope of the German Luftwaffe in very good condition. The center part made of brass, both ends steel covered, blued, with some minor surface corrosion. The right hand side marked “ZFG42 / Fl52973 / ddx / 10V 274”. On the underside a dovetail for mounting on an aircraft . Clear optics, mechanically ok, with both caps for the adjustments. This device is not very well documented. It is safe to assume that was originally made for use with Me 110 and Me 210 to set the aircraft’s gun sights on the shooting range. However, there are fotos showing an FG42 with this scope, mounted without the clamps typical for the standard ZF4 mounting.
