Über den Kam- mern jeweils florale Gravur und links der Kammer Suhler Beschau. Glatte Radschlösser mit außenliegenden Rädern und gefederten Pfannendeckeln. Nussholzvollschäfte mit ei- sernen Garnituren, die Schlossgegenplatten jeweils floral leicht geschnitten. Hölzerne Ladestöcke mit eisernen Doppern. Auf den Kolbenunterseiten jeweils Brandstempel und nummeriert „17” bzw. „18”. Länge je 53 cm. Provenienz: Christie’s, London, Sammlung der Fürsten Salm-Reifferscheidt-Dyck, 15.4.1992, Los 256. A pair of German military wheellock pistols, circa 1660 Octagonal , turning to round, smooth bore barrels in 14.5 mm calibre. Floral engraving at both breeches, the Suhl inspection mark at the left breech. Smooth wheellocks with external wheels and spring-loaded pan covers. The walnut full stocks with iron furniture, the lock side plates both with delicate floral chiselling. Iron-tipped wooden ramrods. Brand marks and the numbers “17” and “18” stamped on the bottom of the butts. Length of each 53 cm.
