Hervorragend erhaltene Klinge einer Spatha des Typs Lauriacum-Hro- movka. Die nahezu unversehrten Schneiden verlaufen fast parallel. Breite oben 5 cm, nahe der Spitze 3,9 cm. Die Klinge mit flacher, 5 mm breiter Mittelrippe. Parallel dazu je ein schmales Kehlband. Breite, sich nach hinten leicht verjüngende Griffangel. Auf der fachmännisch res- taurierten und konservierten Klinge nur noch geringfügige Reste von Korrosionsnarben. Exzellent erhaltenes Exemplar dieses Schwerttyps. Länge der Klinge 68,5 cm, Gesamtlänge 79,7 cm. Provenienz: Aus in Süddeutschland aufbewahrter Privatsammlung. The almost parallel cutting edges virtually intact. Width at the top 5 cm, near the point 3.9 cm. The blade with a flat 5 mmmidrib. A paral­ lel, narrow grooved band on each side of the rib. The broad grip tang tapering slightly backwards. Minimal remnants of corrosion pits on the professionally restored and preserved blade. The present example of this sword type in excellent condition. Halbierte länglich-ovale Lanxmit seitlichenHandhaben in Form stilisier- ter Blätter. Der im ovalen Mittelkreis eingravierte Fisch deutet auf die Funktion der Platte hin. Intentionell halbiert und dabei auch verbeult. Ehemals in einem reichen Haushalt zum Tafelsilber gehörig, erfolgte die Halbierung wohl bei der Aufteilung von Beute im Zuge von Barbaren­ einfällen. Selten!MaximaleBreite 11,3 cm. Länge 45 cm. Gewicht 0,46 kg. Provenienz: Aus einer Privatsammlung in Süddeutschland. Erworben in den 1970er und 1980er Jahren im europäischen Kunsthandel. A fragment of a Roman oblong-oval silver lanx, 2nd - 3rd century Halved oblong-oval lanx with lateral handles in the form of stylised leaves. The fish engraved in the oval central circle indicates the function of the plate. Intentionally halved. Formerly part of the silverware in a wealthy Roman household, the halving was probably carried out when dividing the loot in the course of barbarian invasions. Rare! Maximum width 11.3 cm.
