Bronze helmet with full-faced tin plating with minimal corrosion pits, otherwise in outstanding condition. The skull forged in one piece and divided into two lobes by a blunt medial ridge. The lower part of the helmet clearly offset from the upper skull by a distinct section that draws slightly inwards. The lower section embellished with slightly contoured ribs in repoussé at the eye and ear cut-outs. A lancet-shaped, approx. 6 cm nose guard between the eye brows. A horizontal neck guard, approx. 3 cm wide, attached to the back of the skull. The cheek pieces are attached to the lower edge of the skull, between the openings for the ear and eye, by means of a five-pronged hinge. The hinge pins presum- ably original.
