Das im Kreis Höxter (Nordrhein-Westfalen) gelegene Schloss wurde ab 1696 auf den Resten eines älteren Herrenhauses vom Fürstbischof von Paderborn, Hermann-Werner von Wolff-Metternich, errichtet. Das Adelsgeschlecht von der Horst stammt aus dem ebenfalls in Westfalen gelegenen Fürstbistum Osnabrück. On original oak­ wood carriage with finely wrought iron mounts. The closing levers of the trunnions missing. The back end of one carriage and two hubs well replaced, the replacements in a different colour. Length of either barrel 59 cm, overall length 110 cm. P rovenance : WehrdenCastle. The castle is lo­ cated in the district ofHöxter (NorthRhine-West- phalia) and was built in 1696 on the remains of an older manor owned by the Prince-Bishop of Paderborn, Hermann-Werner von Wolff-Metternich.
