Das Wappen verweist auf das alte Adelsgeschlecht derer von Waldow, auchWaldau, welches ursprünglich aus Bayern stammt. Ihr Name leitet sich von dem Stammsitz der Familie, der BurgWaldau, ab. The coat of arms points to the old aristocratic von Waldow family, aka Wandau, which originally comes from Bavaria.
