Das Haupt mit entschla- fenem Ausdruck nach rechts geneigt. Die Stichwunde im rechten Brustkorb mit aus­ tretendem Blut plastisch dargestellt, die Rip- pen seitlich angedeutet. Das Tuch um die Hüfte rechts verknotet. Unterhalb der Knie gebrochen. Die einst angesetzten Arme feh- len. Der Körper in gotischer Strenge noch ge- rade ausgearbeitet. Die Rückseite unbearbei- tet. Höhe 73 cm. Provenienz: Aus belgischer Privatsammlung. Zuvor in Gelsenkirchener Privatbesitz, über- nommen um 1960 aus dem Nachlass Häferlin aus Bühl in Baden. The head inclined to the right, the features with an expired appearance. The bleeding stab wound in his right breast reproduced in lifelike detail, the ribs indicated at his sides. The loin cloth around his hips knotted on the right. Broken beneath the knee. The originally attached arms have been lost. The erect body drawn up ac- cording to severe Gothic style.
