Schwerer, lilienförmiger Knauf. Korrodiert mit guter Eisensubstanz. Wenige Ausbrüche am Rücken und an der Schneide. Am An- fang der Schneide modern stabilisiert. Länge 89 cm. Nur ein vergleichbarer Malchus, der ins 13. Jhdt. datiert wird, ist aus Italien bekannt (Castillo Sforzesco). Provenienz: Aus süddeutscher Privatsamm- lung, übernommen aus der Sammlung des Vaters, von diesem in den 1970er Jahren er- worben. A medieval Italian falchion, 14th century Long single-edged falchion with straight back and rounded point. The cross-guard slightly downcurved on one side. The tang with traces of the wooden grip. Heavy trilobed pommel. Corroded with good iron substance. The back and edge chipped here and there. Modern sta- bilisation at the beginning of the edge. Length 89 cm. Only one comparable falchion is known from Italy (Castillo Sforzesco) which can be dated to the 13th century.
