32 | 3266 Ein Paar silbermontierte und vergoldete, lange Steinschloss- pistolen, Griechenland, Ionien, 19. Jhdt. Achtkantige, in rund übergehende glatte Läufe im Kaliber 15 mm. Über den Kammern und Laufoberseiten floral gravierte, aufgelötete Messingapplikationen. Ungewöhnliche, geometrisch tief geschnittene Steinschlösser. Extrem aufwändig ornamental reliefierte, partiell ni- ellierte Schäfte aus schwerem und vergoldetem Silber. Die Abzüge je- weils in Form einer sitzenden Figur mit Turban. Ausgesprochen prunk- volles Pistolenpaar in schöner Erhaltung. Länge je 60,7 cm. Ähnliche Pistolen publiziert bei Robert Elgood, „The Arms of Greece“, New York, 2009, Nr. 286 - 294. A long pair of Greek silver-mounted and gilt flintlock pistols, Ionia, 19th century Octagonal, then round, smooth bore barrels in 15 mm calibre. Brass ap- pliqués with floral engraving soldered at the breeches and on the upper sides of the barrels. The unusual flintlocks deeply chiselled with geo- metric décor. Extremely elaborate, partially nielloed stocks in heavy, gilt silver, with relief ornamentation. The triggers both in the shape of a seated figure wearing a turban. An exceptionally splendid pair of pistols in beautiful condition. Length 60.7 cm each.
