| 265 A German Gothic breastplate, circa 1460/70 The breastplate distinctly domed, the upper edge with a prominent flange struck outwards. The arm gussets are missing, an iron buckle preserved on the left shoulder. An armourer’s mark (two crossed swords) struck on the upper right-hand edge. Mounted reinforcement plate with seven-fold fluting and flanged edges, the upper tip tapering into a trefoil. Small perfora- tion corrosions in places, one larger flaw. The five movable articulated faulds are good 19th century replacements. Two faulds with old ri- veted repairs. Height 54 cm. 244550 III € 3.200 3619 Langes Kettenhemd, deutsch, 15. Jhdt.
