Imperial and Royal Order of the White Eagle – an order decoration manufactured by Eduard, Russia, circa 1910 Massive order fashioned in multi-coloured gold (partly gold-plated) and enamelled. The cross of the Polish white eagle enamelled in translucent red and white is applied to the Russian double-headed eagle enamelled in black. The reverse eagle talons punched with „Eduard“, „56“ and master’s mark „IL“ for Johann Lindstedt. The bijou is flexibly attached to the tsarist crown by means of the characteristic crown pendilia enamelled in blue, the ribbon bow is punched on the reverse with kokoshnik head mark and indistinct master’s mark as well as „ET“ (probably French import mark). Height 93 mm, width 60.5 mm. Weight 82.5 g. All gold parts are finely reworked with a graving tool and have iridescent colours, the meticulously applied enamel is in a perfect state of preservation save for a minimal chip on the reverse of the pendilia. 332508 II € 17.000 | 73
