EXPORT LICENSE FOR CULTURAL GOODS When purchasing objects rated as so-called Cultural Goods and thus subject to the German “Act on the Protection of Cultural Property” (KGSG), an export license needs to be obtained within the European Union as well as into non-EC countries. The competent authority for such licenses is the Bavarian Staatsgemäldesammlung Munich / Pinakothek. Since only the owner of such objects can apply for an export license, we will be happy to assist you. This procedure only requires a little fee and receipt of your power of attorney.
