| 229 A uniform of a royal diplomat, 1st half of the 20th century The tailcoat in fine black cloth, crimson velvet collar and cuffs. The collar, cuffs and the flaps of the indicated coattail pockets lavishly embellished with silver gilt embroidery (including the Savoy knot). Opulent gold embroidery on the chest, gilt buttons with the crowned motto „FERT“ of the Royal House of Savoy. Lined in smooth, black silk, meticulously stitched at the chest. Collar label reads „Unione Militare“. Also includes the trousers made of fine black cloth, particularly broad, gold patterned braid in beautiful condition at the side seam (most still covered with protective paper).
