H. 585“ on the back. The loop stamped with the mark „G.H.“. The flames have a matt finish and are slightly red due to oxidisation. A magnificent example of outstanding workmanship in dark blue enamel. Width 54.7 mm. Weight 27.49 g. The eight-rayed breast star wrought in silver with the manufacturer‘s medallion „Juweliere Gebr. Hemmerle vorm. Elchinger München“ on the back, the pin marked „900“ and „G.H.“ The gold appliqués in fine enamel and fixed with screws. The swords in red gold, mounted with two screws and stamped „Geb.H. 585“ on the back. Width 75 mm. Weight 60.43 g. Together with the customised neck ribbon section with three press studs in the blue, double presentation case with a gold Hemmerle signet (marginally knocked, a water stain on the underside), embossed in silver „Bayr. M. V. O. 2. Kl. m. St.“. Awarded to Generalleutnant Maximilian Graf von Montgelas, at the time commander of the 4th Royal Bavarian Infantry Division, on 11 September 1914. Der achtstrahlige, in Silber gefertigte Bruststern mit rückseitigem Herstellermedaillon „Juweliere Gebr. Hemmerle vorm. Elchinger München“, die Nadel mit „900“ und „G.H.“ punziert. Die Auflagen in Gold, verschraubt und fein emailliert. Die Schwerter in Rotgold doppelt verschraubt und rs. „Geb.H. 585“ punziert. Breite 75 mm. Gewicht 60,43 g. Zusammen mit konfektioniertem Halsbandabschnitt mit drei Druckknöpfen im blauen Doppel-Verleihungsetui mit goldenem HemmerleSignet (minimal bestoßen, unterseitig Wasserfleck) und Silberprägung „Bayr. M. V. O. 2. Kl. m. St.“. Verliehen am 11. September 1914 an den damaligen Kommandeur der 4. K.B. Infanterie-Division Generalleutnant Maximilian Graf von Montgelas.
