Mai 1933“, darunter die Tintenunterschrift des Oberbürgermeisters Theo Memmel. Maße der Urkunde 36 x 31 cm, eingefaßt von vergoldeter Leiste mit versilberten Sternschrauben und roter Samtbordüre. In versilberter Aluminiumkassette mit getreppten Füßen und seitlichen Hakenkreuzen. Zweigeteilter Deckel an ornamental gravierten Scharnieren mit Modell der Festung Marienberg und der Stadtsilhouette Würzburgs. Die Deckelinnenseiten zeigen gravierte Darstellungen der wichtigsten Würzburger Vertreter: „Der Rat der Stadt“, „Das werkende Volk“, „Der Handelsmann“, „Die Universität“, „Die junge Generation“ und „Der Weinbauer“. Die Versilberung ist partiell leicht berieben, die Urkunde minimal fleckig und leicht gewellt, ansonsten in herausragender Erhaltung. Maße der Kassette 40 x 35 x ca. 11 cm, Gewicht 5,5 kg. Mai 1933,” signed by Mayor Theo Memmel. Dimensions: 36 x 31 cm. Edged with a gilt strip, silver-plated star screws, and a red velvet border. Housed in a silver-plated aluminium casket with stepped bases featuring two swastikas on each side. The two-part lid is mounted on ornamental hinges and displays a model of Marienberg fortress, surrounded by the skyline of Würzburg and a city wall with a frosted silvered wreath, inscribed “Die Stadt Würzburg dem Reichskanzler”. Inside the lid are engraved scenes of key Würzburg representatives inlaid in red:“The City Council”,“The working people”,“The merchant”, “The university”, “The young generation” and “The winemaker”. The silver coating is slightly tarnished, and the certificate shows minor spots and waves, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Casket dimensions: 40 x 35 x approx. 11 cm, weight 5.5 kg. In original faux red leather presentation case (slightly wavy and stained) lined with beige silk moiré. Case dimensions: approx. 43 x 39 x 12 cm. Provenance: According to the consignor, the certificate was seized by a member of the 2e Division Blindée in Berchtesgaden at the end of the war.
